How To Keep Going When You Have No Motivation

This is one of my favorite topics to discuss because I apply this concept to almost every area of my life. My career goals, my personal goals, my health goals, they all circle around this one sentence: Motivation is fleeting, you have to be disciplined. 

You are not always going to be motivated. It’s literally impossible to constantly have the energy required to feel motivated 24/7. So you have to learn to discipline yourself. You have to be so strict with yourself that even when you don’t feel like writing that blog post, or going to do your workout, or filming that video, or doing the task you said you would do, you do it anyways. You understand that you have to discipline yourself and get it done anyways because that is the only way you will be one step closer to where you want to be. And the caveat is, that usually the hardest part is just getting started! Once you start, you then begin to gain motivation to keep going!

Another way to keep going when you lack motivation is to always remember your why. Why did you start this goal to begin with? Why did you start this workout routine? Why did you start this new business? Why did you start a YouTube channel or become a blogger? What is your why? Remember your why and I promise you, you will begin to feel motivated to keep going.

And last but not least, think about how good you will feel about yourself once you do it!! Think about how accomplished you will feel, how productive you will feel, how proud you will feel. You will feel so much better when you can cross it off your to-do list! Your future self will thank you for being disciplined.
